Sort 'Em puts you in a back of a grocery store, or maybe it is a warehouse, and you are tasked with sorting a bunch of different consumer items. Things drift along a conveyor belt, and you have to put them in the correct boxes so that they may be sold.
Sort 'Em turned a job into a game
Sort 'Em is a simulation game of what is probably one of the most boring jobs on the planet, which is to sort things in the back of a warehouse or grocery store, and yet its colourful environments and fast-paced themes make the experience fun. In some instances, you have to fill barrows with the correct items so that they may be taken away by other members of staff, and other times you have to dump inappropriate items, and other times you have to prepare items such as by chopping them up with a knife.
Something to pass the time
Like most games of this ilk, the novelty wears off and the replay value is low, but when you consider the popularity of mobile games where people make pizzas and sandwiches repeatedly over and over again, then maybe games like Sort 'Em are not so bad. It does become boring and repetitive after a while, but that is expected of these types of simulation games. It doesn't become boring as quickly as the many mobile apps in this simulation genre.
